Anchorage Adventures

anchorage, alaska

TH and I love our little town, but sometimes this country mouse* gets the itch for big city life. Anchorage, Alaska's largest city, is the perfect place for a girlfriend getaway,  a date weekend, or even a solo adventure. (*Anyone else remember the childhood book City Mouse, Country Mouse? TH had no idea what I was talking about.)

Random Restaurant Reviews: Seward, Alaska

chinooks seward

If you visit Seward in the summer you will have a difficult time choosing a place to eat among the establishments that line the streets and harbor. In the winter, you will have less options, but you won't go hungry.

It's hard to beat the view from Chinooks on a sunny day.

Road Trip Alaska: Seward

Seward is one of our favorite locations in the summer; I had no idea that I would like it so much more in the shoulder season. My last post was about the perks of visiting Alaska in the winter, and our trip to Seward further cemented my thesis that Alaska is not just a summer destination.
