Food Things

I eat weird things.  I get a lot of questions about my diet, especially when I walk around work with my green smoothie and dehydrated kale chips.   A few years ago I went through a raw food phase, and that was fun, but way too time consuming, and challenging to sustain in Alaska. Through many years of experimentation I have found that I feel best when I eat predominately whole, unprocessed foods. People often ask what my deal is, but I find labels restrictive and rather confining to a life of travel and tranquility.  I eat what I crave, and mostly that is vegetables, fruits, fish, and whole grains.

I love food.  I think it is beautiful.  I like to think about it, talk about it, experiment with it, write about it, take pictures of it, and eat it.  This blog gives me a chance to do all of those things.
